Brief Description:  TRANSFER DRILLED RUDDER SKINS

(1) I have not yet rolled the leading edge to its proper curve, but instead, pressed forward on transfer drilling the skins to the rudder frame, and aligning an drilling the skin for the closeout rib,
(2) With the rudder skins clecoed to the frame, and the entire assembly still in the jig, I purchased a tool from Aircraft Spruce to form the slight bend in the skin of the leading edge. Mark Pringle at Rocky Mountain Kit Planes, gave me some instruction, and info on the tool that he uses. I practiced with the tool on another piece of aluminum scrap that I had. I was very pleased with the final result after using it on the real thing.

NOTE: The forming tool used, was an Aircraft Spruce product. Their part number for ordering it is 12-00632, and the cost is around 20 bucks.

(3) I transfer drilled the entire rudder including the closeout rib to # 30.
